Summary: The MPEC Information Coordinator will be charged with developing and maintaining the MPEC website as well as assisting with compiling data, reporting, marketing, managing correspondence from industry and educational institutions, scheduling travel and activities for the MPEC staff, coordinating scheduling for the specialty laboratory at IHCC and other assignments as needed by the MPEC Director and Instructor. In addition, this position would serve as a part time receptionist for the Indian Hills Regional Entrepreneurship Center (REC). This role would involve answering phone calls, distributing mail, performing basic office duties, and helping to prepare for REC events and activities. V. Work Performed: Develop and maintain a dedicated website for the Midwest Photonics Education Center (MPEC). Manage MPEC social networking activities and media. Assist the Center Director with documenting and compiling data related to MPEC activities. Assist the Center Director with completing grant reporting activities. Work with MPEC staff to develop strategies to inform educational institutions and photonics employers in the Midwest of MPEC. Field and manage phone calls and email correspondence from parties interested in MPEC and the Midwest Photonics Alliance. Make travel arrangements and maintain travel schedule for MPEC Director and Instructor. Coordinate scheduling for the laser materials processing specialty laboratory at IHCC. Maintain an awareness and understanding of regional and national photonics workforce issues, challenges and opportunities. Prepare information packets, brochures, posters, display table supplies, handouts, and other exhibit table materials. Assist with MPEC exhibits, events, and outreach activities. Take and prepare meeting minutes and assist with MPEC meetings. Manage multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously. Serve as the receptionist for the Indian Hills Regional Entrepreneurship Center (REC). Answer and route phone calls for the REC. P. Receive and distribute mail to clients and staff at the REC. Q. Perform basic office tasks for staff at the REC. R. Perform contracted services for REC clients as needed. S. Assist staff in preparation for REC events and activities. T. Take and prepare meeting minutes for all REC Advisory Board meetings. U. Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work. V. Other duties as assigned. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
