Human Resources Generalist
The HR Generalist works in close collaboration with the Group HR Regional Manager and Plant Manager.
This role provides both strategic and hands-on tactical HR support to the PlantDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPlant support in HR activities (policies, compensation and payroll & benefits, etc)Be the integration point for HR in the business, support organizational development initiatives Engage and support segment strategy discussionRepresent employee interests at all levels and implicationsMeasure and track performance to evaluate HR investmentsImprove team effectiveness and leadership pipeline Focus on workforce performance, culture/workplace environment, and talent development Ensure effective execution of HR processes within the business unitReport each month the HR KPIS of the country to the HR DirectorDrive effective frontline and Corporate communications strategies Support the development and improvement of Corporate & local policies and procedures Ensure timely execution of country payroll processing and approvalsMaintain and develop cost effective local partnerships with outsourced HR specialists (recruitment, compensation, benefits)Liaise with Immigration legal partners and foreign workers regarding any pending work permits for the region.
Provide HR guidance, advisory and support to new projects - research local legislation Co-ordination of People Development and training programs for regionManagement of Performance Evaluation systemCompetencies& QualificationsDiploma in Human Resources or in a related fieldHR professional designation preferred (PHR-USA, CHRP-CAN) Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a generalist HR roleStrong Knowledge of Microsoft officeGood presentation and communication skillsHigh values in teamwork and professionalismKnowledge of principles, methods, and practices related to payroll activitiesAble to exercise great initiative independent judgmentAbility to maintain the confidential information Recommended Skills Communication Confidentiality Consulting Human Resources Immigration Laws Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
