GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The Ultrasound technologist is responsible for performing quality ultrasound exams within the hospital.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Follows the standards of behavior Performing high quality ultrasound procedures Maintaining quality control and other care of ultrasound equipment as needed Successfully navigating Imaging PACS and ORHC electronic medical records Quality Improvement / Risk Management / Safety practices as necessary for positionOther duties as requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Possesses good written and verbal communication skills.
Has the ability to work independently, complete tasks, and flexibility to adjust to high volume workloads.
Ability to perform basic computer functions.
Interacts positively with patients, physicians and staff.
Demonstrates ethical and professional conduct.
EDUCATION Graduate of an AMA approved school of Medical Sonography.
EXPERIENCE One or more years experience in general ultrasound preferred.
Echo experience preferred.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or registry eligible in ultrasound.
BCLS required.
