Point of Care Coordinator Lab Full Time Days

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO1.
Ensures that POCT patient results are appropriately measured or determined by performing initial training of all POCT operators, performing competency testing to include procedure manual review and annual certification, and maintaining an updated list of all certified POCT operators.
2.
Using technical expertise, ensures that:
POCT test methods have been validated prior to patient testing by performing linearity, precision ,and patient correlations for all new POCT devices and at required regulatory designated intervals; that new reagent lots and reagent performance have been verified prior to patient testing; that instrumentation is maintained and functions are monitored according to manufacturer recommendations, and that appropriate documentation is kept; that appropriate quality control methods are utilized consistently and reviewed, including monthly review of quality control reports; that out-of-range values are handled appropriately, and that instrument and method problems are resolved before patient results are reported; that POCT methods are validated with an outside source (proficiency testing) on an ongoing basis and proficiency testing results are actively reviewed with documented corrective action.

Ensures compliance with CAP accreditation and other internal and external regulatory standards within the POCT area.
4.
Ensures that all POCT tests are performed consistently according to instrument and method manufacturer requirements and recommendations through development of POCT procedures, reviewing POCT procedures on an annual basis and ensuring adherence to written procedures.
5.
Ensures ORHC compliance with JCAHO or other accrediting agencies by overseeing ORHC meter quality control and assisting ORHC in troubleshooting of POCT devices.
6.
Ensures POCT equipment and supplies are adequate for CLS's needs by working with POCT manufacturers and sales personnel, and by maintaining appropriate levels of POCT supply inventory.
7.
Ensures client and customer satisfaction through:
quick, efficient, and thorough responses to requests for services or information regardless of route (phone, fax, e-mail, courier, in person, pneumatic tube, etc.
); owning the request until resolution or another person accepts ownership.
8.
Ensures the overall quality and safety of laboratory processes through:
active participation in performance and quality improvement activities; adhering to all laboratory policies and procedures; maintaining competency in all job functions and responsibilities; continuing education in areas of responsibility.
9.
Ensures overall functioning of the laboratory by performing other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 1.
1Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office applications), and ability to learn and use new information technology.

CUnderstanding of quality control statistics and rules.
EDUCATION BA/BS Degree in Medical Technology or scientific discipline preferred.
AA/AS required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
